Phil Maley earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from UWA in 1974 and initially worked in the 
chemical manufacturing industry managing maintenance and upgrades to process plants. He later spent 15 years as a Facilities Engineer with Wapet and Chevron managing design and construction of oil and gas production facilities in Western Australia and offshore Lousiana. He embarked on a new career in shipbroking in 1995.
Tony Russel-White was a co-founder of Wotech. He has since moved back to his home country in the UK but maintains an interest in Wotech.
